About Skills Council Canada

Founded in 2020, Skills Council of Canada (SCC) aims to provide equitable access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all Canadians. With a focus on underserved and vulnerable groups, such as racialized youth and the unemployed, SCC works to bridge the skills gap and prepare individuals for the job market.

SCC partners with industry leaders and education experts to offer a range of services, including skills and job assessment tools, online courses, access to tutors and mentors, and connections to work-integrated learning and apprenticeship opportunities. Based in Ottawa, SCC operates through a collaborative network of partners across the country to reach and support as many Canadians as possible in their journey towards employment.

At SCC, we believe that education is a fundamental right and that everyone deserves the chance to reach their full potential. It is our mission to empower individuals and communities through education and to promote equity in the job market.
