    Skills Council of Canada surpasses 5,300 skills development courses and career resources supporting all job seekers

    Skills Council of Canada’s Collaborative Support Ecosystem brings skill development opportunities to job seekers, providing means that advance the skills needed to become employment ready.

    Skills Council of Canada is pleased to announce it has expanded its content library to include award-winning courses that span the categories of essential, soft, technical skills development, compliance, equity and diversity, wellness, and more. Recent partnerships with iAM Learning, Vubiz, TalentLMS, and Edge Factor provide Skills Council of Canada’s Collaborative Support Ecosystem with an additional 1,500 courses and support resources, adding to the value of their for job seekers participating in their Breaking Down Barriers Skills-to-Employment Project.

    In recent months, the Skills Council of Canada has been adding more content to its skills development catalogue, addressing the diversity of individuals seeking professional and personal development opportunities across the country. By working in partnership with industry leaders and education experts, the Skills Council of Canada fosters opportunities for growth and employment for job seekers.  Access to meaningful training and employment is becoming increasingly difficult because of an ever-changing economic outlook, growing competition for jobs, and a shift in the traditional pathways into work. Employers are looking for individuals who have the skills to do the job today and are prepared for the jobs of tomorrow. Skills Council of Canada’s Collaborative Support Ecosystem seamlessly connects individual job seekers to skills and employment development opportunities, helping them become job-ready with in-demand and competitive skill sets employers are looking for.
